Blinds Couture supported the project with motorized shades by Hunter Douglas, pinch pleat curtains and roman shades in warm fabrics. All of the drapery were fabricated in our local workroom, assuring the project went smoothly from measuring, fabric and hardware selections, and installation.

In late 2022, the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission announced it that, for reasons of safety, corded window coverings could longer be manufactured in the United States, beginning in June 2024. The window coverings industry and consumer demand has been slowly progressing in this direction since the early 2000s, with the advent of cordless blinds, motorized window coverings and smart home technology. With the 2022 announcement, this necessity for progress has dramatically accelerated, and manufacturers are sprinting to catch up.
